Thanks to so many clients who have given us referrals, I decided to spend the summer of 2011 expanding The Artemis Center For Healing & Growth! We are now a staff of 5 therapists, and 1 testing psychologist. We have two locations and 5 therapy rooms to accommodate our growth. Our beautiful new office was custom designed to be kid and family friendly. Unique to the Artemis Center, we offer on-site child care for parents and children who are attending therapy. While being cared for your children will be engaged in games, art, moives and popcorn or an eco-walk.
We continue to offer the highest quality individual, couple and family counseling. We utilize the most cutting edge treatments including Mindfulness, Mind/Body (or Somatic) therapy and Eco-Therapy. For our younger clients we often use Pet-Asssted Therapy to build comfort and safety. Throughout our interventions there is always an eye toward treating the whole person (mind & body). Additionally, whenever possible we are very interested in working with the entire family.
In March 2012 I and other staff will be attending an advanced week long training in Chicago geard toward teaching us to track and observe better outcomes for our clients. We are putting our clients in the drivers seat in terms of letting us know what is helpful and what is not. I will keep you posted on this.

Rich Lorton, M.A.
Rich Lorton is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Sports Psychology. Rich’s knowledge and experience stems from competing in athletics, coaching sports, personal training, massage therapy, working in youth day programs, and community programs. Rich has been professionally involved in the fitness, psychological and wellness communities for over 20 years. Motivation and encouragement are the key to Rich’s success with his clients; believing & seeing them strive for a more active and healthy well being. Rich has had the opportunity to work with individuals ranging from youth through adulthood throughout Northern, Central, and Southern California. Through these encounters, Rich has supported the growth and development of individuals coping with physical pain, social and emotional adjustment, and the understanding of health, exercise, and nutrition. In his free time, Rich is a frequent competitor in Iron Man Events & Dragon Boat Races.

Lawyer Referral Service of the South Bay Bar Association
The South Bay Bar Association established the Lawyer Referral Service over 25 years ago and is registered with the State Bar of California. The purpose of the Lawyer Referral Service is to provide the South Bay Area of Los Angeles County with a State Bar sponsored referral service. All attorneys of the Lawyer Referral Service are required to be active members in good standing of the State Bar of California.
The Lawyer Referral Service has attorneys who are experienced in all major areas of legal practice. An example of the areas of experience that are covered include: criminal law; family law; insurance law; employment law; personal injury; probate, wills and estate planning; real property law; and landlord/tenant law.
The maximum fee that may be charged by the Lawyer Referral Service attorney for the first one-half hour consultation is $50.00.
